Blog Hibernation

A Big hello to everyone. I cannot believe that it has been almost 3 months since I made a post.
Lately I have been feeling like Job. You remember Job the guy from the Bible to whom one thing after another happened until he had nothing and he became sick. I feel like I can identify with Job. Things have been happening in my life one peril after another. I have been praying for things to get better but they have only seemed to get worse. For those who can, please pray for me.

Today I finally summoned the strength to update my blog, sadly which I have totally abandoned for ages. I have a lot of blogs to visit, blog which I love but have not read for months. Sorry guy!!!! I do have a lot catching up to do.
The good news is that I have been faithful in taking a picture everyday for my Pearly Delights series. It is one thing I have enjoyed doing and has helped me keep sane. I will  start by updating Pearly Delights all the way back to the 2nd of May which was when I took the last picture. I will post them covering a period of 2 weeks at a time. I have been going back over my old posts and have appreciated all the pictures I have taken with the notes attached. I have been documenting pieces of my life and it is so awesome looking back and reading and seeing my thoughts and what captured my attention in the past. I know that one day I will look at my posts and be glad that I made them. So here goes the 1st catch up post. Enjoy!

TUESDAY 3 MAY - MONDAY 16 MAY

Summer begins. It felt soooooooooo good to be wearing flip flops once again. Good bye boots see you next winter - well I hope so anyway. You can never tell with the English weather. Summer can turn out to be horrible but I hope not.

Time to accessorize. Thanks to one of my friends who gave me this beauty which can serve both as a key holder or as an accessory for a hand bag.

This is what it looked like when I was walking home at night (almost midnight) in the rain. Umbrella in one hand and camera in another. Gosh! crazy me.

Creativity can go a long way. I thought this was interesting.

London Waterloo. I live in a small town were life is a bit slow. When I got to London I took a moment to relish and take in the bustle and busyness. For once I appreciated just standing and watching the world go by.

Be proud of who you are and what you do. One of my friends is a pre-school teacher and she has this sign hanging outside her door. When I first saw it I was like 'You go girl!'

This was attempt by me to take a picture of the moon with my camera. It was more than a quarter moon. Not bad for a simple ordinary camera don't you think?

Anyone remember a children's programme called Worzel Gummidge about a walking and talking scarecrow. It was one of my favorite programmes when I was growing up. This fella here reminded me of Worzel.

I went to a Christian Resources Event which was held in London and was fortunate enough to be able to attend this wonderful seminar called a Life Less Ordinary. Uuuuuhmm it was motivating.

This CD is wow. Someone from my church went to the US to visit some friends and came back with this CD which was recorded live in Israel. I could not help singing along and wanting to dance and lift up my hands in praise.

Every 3rd Sunday at our church we have an all age service whereby the children do not leave to go to different groups sometime during the service. Usually during this service crazy activities are undertaken like was the case on this particular day. It was so much fun. What else could be expected with things like piggy backs, masked faces and a treasure hunt on the agenda.

Aaaah I have no further words to add to this one.

  1. HI Shona, good to have you back. It is well with you and everything that pertains to you, Sis. Hang in there. God is not finished with you yet. As you can identify with Job, God will make sure that at the end of it all, double portion is accorded to you in Jesus' name. Stay safe in His arms and welcome back. I like the picture from ur friend's house that says "Home of a world class teacher"... I am proud to be a teacher too!

  2. Thank you for the words of encouragement LDP. Sometimes I wonder if the sun will ever shine in my life again but I know it will. I know I am just going through a season which will eventually pass but its just so hard at times.
I need some words of inspiration and I know one blog where I can get a dose of it - your blog. You write such inspiring things and you are such a positive person. God bless.
